Coast Tsimshian Seafood

Our Facility

State-of-the-Art, High-Production Processing Plant

The Coast Tsimshian Seafood facility is a state-of-the-art, high-production processing plant.

Re-opened in 2012 after a $7.8 million modernization rebuild, the Coast Tsimshian Seafood plant has streamlined production with Baader 221, an automatic pelagic complete fish processing line. Baader is widely recognized as a global leader in the manufacturing of machines and systems for food processing.

We have 10 processing lines: eight mechanized and two by hand, with four mechanized lines dedicated to salmon and four to ground fish.

400,000 Pounds of Fish Per Day

Our purpose-built facility produces an average of 400,000 pounds of fish per day, with on-site storage capacity of one million pounds. In addition, our continuous moving tunnel freezer is capable of freezing over 250,000 pounds of fish per day.

We are the only facility on the north coast of B.C. that can meet the standards required for international trade.
